Ghee is a rich source of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), butyric acid, and health giving lipids. Butyric acid, is a short-chain fatty acid known to decrease intestinal permeability and protects against colon cancer.
Coriander seeds, fennel seeds, and cumin seeds are used together in ayurvedic cooking to stimulate digestive fire. Together, these three seeds help the elimination of toxins from the body. 1/4 tsp cumin seed
1/4 tsp fennel seed
1/4 tsp coriander seed
1 cup hot water
1 tsp ghee
Add all the spices to one cup of hot water and let steep for five minutes. Strain the water and add the ghee. Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Wait at least 30-minutes before eating anything more, however, you may notice that your appetite is diminished.
